제30분-The integral Principle

Subhuti,if a good man or a good woman ground an infinite number of galaxies of worlds to dust,would the resulting minute particles be many?

Subhuti replied: Many indeed, World-honoured one! Wherefore? Because if such were really minute particles Buddha would not have spoken of them as minute particles. For as to this,Buddha has declared that they are not really such. "Minute particles" is just the name given to them. Also, World-honoured one,when the Tathagata speaks of galaxies of worlds these are not worlds; for if reality could be predicted of a world it would be a self-existent cosmos and the Tathagata teaches that there is really no such thing. "Cosmos"

is merely a figure of speech.

〔Then Buddha said〕: Subhuti, words cannot explain the real nature of a cosmos. only common people fettered with desire make use of this arbitrary method.

수보리야 만약 선남자 선여인이 삼천대천세계를 가루로 내어 티끌로 만든다면 그 티끌의 수가 많겠느냐?
"매우 많습니다. 세존이시여,왜냐하면 만약 그 티끌이 실제 존재하는 것이라면 부처님께서는 그것을 티끌이라고 말씀하시지 않으셨을 것입니다.부처님께서 말씀하신 티끌은 곧 티끌이 아니라 그 이름이 티끌의 무리인 까닭입니다. 세존이시여, 여래께서 말씀하시는 삼천대천세계도 그것이 세계라 아니라 그 이름이 세계일 뿐입니다.  잠시 세계라는 형상을 이루고 있을 뿐이어서 여래께서 설하신 일합상은 곧 일합상이 아니라 다만 그 이름이 일합상일 뿐이기 때문입니다."

"수보리야 일합상이라는 것은 가히 말할 수 없는 것이거늘! 다만 범부들이 일합상이라는 것에 탐하고 집착하고 있을 따름이니라.

 

 

불교에서는 어떠한 존재라도 관계속에서 존재함을 가르칩니다 관계를 벗어나서는 어떠한 것도 따로 존재할 수 없습니다.

존재라는 것도 생각이 만들어 낸 것입니다. 공포, 화, 사물, 성공,야망, 후회..... 우리가 존재한다고 생각하기 때문에 존재하는 것입니다. 그러나 이런 모든 것들은 본레 존재하지 않습니다. 그것 차제로는 자성이 없는 것이지요. 우리 머리속에서 오직 생각으로만 만들어 낸  존재이기 때문입니다. '색즉시공 공즉시색'
